One thought though...I have a younger sister who constantly does this and her doctor finally figured out it was ALLERGIES! Crazy, huh? We have our monthly round of data meetings this week and we (the teachers) actually run these on our own. Our school psych and guidance counselor take notes for us and our principal is there to facilitate. We are 4 years into this process and are pretty good at it!

Love your blog and am your newest follower. I get their importance, but sometimes I think I analyze date more than I teach from it! Lol Anyways can't wait to see what else you have to add about small group intervention. It is challenging in itself!

Your newest follower,
Dana
Live Learn Teach for LifeLive Learn Teach for Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15630080657438557523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4961519307746127168.post-62712432152352699302013-02-02T12:02:27.595-05:002013-02-02T12:02:27.595-05:00We're your newest followers and found you thro...We're your newest followers and found you through Farley's currently linky! No snow days here in Fl... only an occasional bad weather {hurricane} day. Hasn't happened in a while though {knock on wood}. In our data meetings we are reviewing our Fair {florida assessment in reading} data. We're comparing it to their results from the beginning of the year. Our PLC discussions are about what is working for the kids who have made great gains and what's not working for the others. I'm sure our next few PLC-data meetings will continue our talks. =)
-Jackie-
Sister TeachersJackie and Danielle {Sister Teachers}https://www.blogger.com/profile/15710614952085156962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4961519307746127168.post-58363866556044411912013-02-02T11:56:26.320-05:002013-02-02T11:56:26.320-05:00We also have data mettings in my school. As a matter of fact, just yesterday was a workday for us and so my grade level got together to fill out "Data Protocol Sheets" for Math and Reading. On our sheets we have to record our classes strengths and weaknesses in each area, what we are planning on doing to remediate, how we are going to group our students, and the names of any students needing intervention. Then next week we meet by grade levels with the administration to discuss. This happens at the end of every semester. Our school is BIG on data and data chats.
I'm jealous that you run 5+ miles, I just recently celebrated for finishing 1 mile...

:0) Melissa

More Time 2 TeachMore Time 2 Teachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06852104700254611993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4961519307746127168.post-7996391959452672082013-02-02T11:15:20.492-05:002013-02-02T11:15:20.492-05:00Snow days...we never get those is California. Thanks to Farley's rule of three, I am your newest friend. I would love me some snow, but alas, I live in Florida, so its a no go. My daughter just started running a few months ago and is trying to get me to start. I don't like to run, so I am still on the fence. Maybe you can motivate me, haha. Anyhoo, I am loving your blog, especially that it is geared to small group intervention.
